Unforgettable holiday destinations for true rebels: Must-see places worldwide

Dear Rebels United Community,

Summer is here and with it the perfect time to experience new adventures and explore the world. Before we go on our well-deserved company holidays from July 25th, 2024, we would like to introduce you to some of the most fascinating and weird places that you as true rebels absolutely have to see. Whether you are looking for a unique experience or an unforgettable travel destination - here are our top recommendations:

1. Cappadocia, Turkey – Sleeping in cave hotels

Cappadocia offers one of the most surreal landscapes in the world. The stunning rock formations and underground cities are an absolute must. Stay overnight in one of the many cave hotels and experience a hot air balloon ride at sunrise - a truly magical experience.

2. Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia – The largest salt lake in the world

This huge salt lake in Bolivia is like another world. The shimmering white plains stretch as far as the eye can see and are a surreal sight, especially when covered with a thin layer of water after rainfall, acting like a giant mirror.

3. Hashima Island, Japan – The abandoned ghost town

Also known as Gunkanjima or “Battleship Island,” Hashima Island offers a fascinating glimpse into the past. Once a booming coal mining town, the deserted island is now a forlorn ruin that can only be visited on guided tours.

4. The Wave, Arizona, USA – A natural wonder

This incredible sandstone formation near the Arizona-Utah border looks otherworldly. Its undulating lines and vibrant colors make it a dream destination for photographers and adventurers. Note that you will need a permit to visit The Wave.

5. Socotra, Yemen – The Alien Island

Socotra looks like a set from a science fiction movie. With its strange dragon blood trees and unique flora and fauna, the island offers an experience that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.

6. Hobbiton, New Zealand – A visit to Middle Earth

For fans of “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit,” a visit to Hobbiton is an absolute must. The picturesque landscape and the detailed replicas of the hobbit caves transport you straight into the world of JRR Tolkien.

7. The Door to Hell, Turkmenistan – A burning gas crater

This burning gas crater in the Karakum Desert is a true natural wonder. The crater, which has been burning continuously for over 40 years, attracts adventurous travelers from all over the world.

8. Pamukkale, Turkey – The white terraces

Pamukkale, which translates to "cotton castle," is known for its terraced travertine terraces and warm thermal springs. This natural wonder offers breathtaking views and a relaxing bathing experience.

We hope this list inspires you to plan your next trip and explore the world in a rebellious way.

From July 25th, 2024, we will be closing for the holidays and look forward to welcoming you back from September 9th, 2024 with fresh energy, a new fall/winter collection and exciting themes.

Stay healthy, stay active, stay rebellious.

With rebellious greetings, Your Rebels United Team
