Unique-Fashion-Individuals: "Show me your clothes and I'll tell you who you are."

“Because the color (of clothing) shows the senses and the cut shows the way of life of a person.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Each of us has preferences for colors; one person likes to wear black, the next a mixed color, another prefers a pattern. But one thing is certain: the clothes you wear reveal interesting facts about your personality and tell the other person how you feel. Would you like to cleverly choose the right color for an occasion and know what feeling the color expresses? Then you've come to the right place.

Things were different in the Middle Ages, where the colors indicated the wealth of their owner. Certain colors were only allowed to be worn by select sections of society. Even nobles were not allowed to wear some colors, despite their wealth and status. For example, silk dyed with saffron was only intended for court ladies, and purple clothing was only intended for cardinals or the Pope. Because it took 10,000 purple snails to produce one gram of the purple color . At that time, these were very complex procedures for dyeing clothing, so color was a rather strange matter.

Today we can not only choose the colors we wear, we can even access specific color nuances . Wear bright, shimmering, but also matt colors, patterned or printed clothing, the range of possibilities is almost endless. Color is not just colorful. It also plays a crucially important role in achieving the goals . According to color psychology, they have a strikingly large effect on our well-being, both positive and negative. Colors are pure emotions. They draw attention and can trigger different feelings. This applies in many areas in that color is used consciously or unconsciously. For example in marketing and advertising or work clothing, but also the color of the environment and nature. Colors have the power to influence decisions and even improve our memory. But which color expresses which feeling? Let's immerse ourselves in the communication of the color world together !

In color theory, colors are divided into three areas.

1. Primary colors, i.e. the main colors (blue, red, yellow)

2. secondary colors, the secondary colors that arise from the mixture of the main colors (green, orange, purple)

3. tertiary colors, which are mixed from main and secondary colors and are considered broken colors. (Black, white, gray, brown tones)

The three primary colors form the basis for every other mixed color and are clear and bright.

Blue radiates calm, but also appears cold and distant. The color is associated with sovereignty, trust and reliability, while lighter shades of blue are associated with freshness and dynamism.

Red stands for pure energy, passion and love as well as the fighting spirit. The color expresses dominance, competitive orientation and self-confidence.

Yellow stands for optimism and symbolizes a sharp and freedom-loving intellect. It stimulates the mind and conveys joy of life and lightness.

The secondary colors occur in nature, such as in flowers or animals.

Green is the color of nature and therefore also of life and hope. Depending on the shade of green, people associate it with a focus on the future, sustainability as well as fertility and freshness.

Orange stands for freshness, joy of life, vital energy and happiness. The color suggests emotionality; extroversion and creativity.

Purple is the color of magic and religion and radiates dignity. Purple is extraordinary, so its wearers are considered mysterious, imaginative and creative. At the same time, it has an enormously calming effect and promotes concentration.

The tertiary colors are dull and inconspicuous and occur most frequently in nature.

Black stands out from the general public, is individual and is used very versatilely in subcultures. Black can radiate pessimism or strength as well as nobility and elegance.

White represents purity, innocence and clarity. That's why professional groups where hygiene is important also wear it. In everyday life, the color appears clear, youthful and innocent. White is illuminating and therefore helps you concentrate better.

Gray seems cautious, diplomatic and simple. Dressed in gray you appear willing to compromise, reserved and sometimes inconspicuous.
Brown appears patient, careful, responsible and strong. The color suggests tradition, modesty and down-to-earthness and has a calming effect.
